The Dorchester London has revealed its spectacular new Royal Suite, designed by renowned French interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon.
London is not only home to some of the world’s most famous five-star hotels, but within each of these luxurious enclaves, a lucky few will discover premium suites reserved for dignitaries, diplomats and the well-heeled.

As part of the hotel’s most significant transformation in over three decades, The Dorchester sets luxury travellers’ hearts aflutter once more with its newest regal hideaway.
Occupying a commanding corner position on the eighth floor, the new Royal Suite marries sweeping panoramic views over Hyde Park, the Serpentine lake, and the London skyline with sublime interiors – think delicate floral wallpaper, soft pastel tones, bespoke patterned carpets, and classic Versailles parquet floors – by designer Rochon, who drew inspiration from British landscapes.
The Royal Suite, which can be configured to connect up to four rooms (creating one of the largest and most exclusive hotel suites in London), boasts a master bedroom that beautifully merges English neoclassicism with 1950s-inspired pastel tones, and which flows into a generous dressing room and a luxurious marble-clad bathroom featuring a double shower.

Beyond, a sitting room, stretching the full length of one side of the suite, features a striking 1950s-inspired mirrored fireplace complemented by an ornate 18th-century neoclassical ceiling and bespoke furniture that ranges from elegant ottomans by Henryot & Cie to armchairs upholstered in English garden-inspired fabrics by GP & J. Baker.
The suite’s dining room, which seats ten, is wrapped in jewel-like patterned walls and mirrored ceilings that echo the theatrical glamour of The Promenade and Artists’ Bar downstairs. Exquisite De Gournay wallpaper frames floor-to-ceiling windows, while a private kitchen allows The Dorchester’s culinary team, led by culinary director Martyn Nail, to create intimate in-suite dining experiences.

A separate study offers guests a more classic ambiance, complete with a mahogany bookcase, Tisserant lighting, a Chinese-inspired red lacquer desk, and a stylish cane armchair.
The launch of the Royal Suite (a portion of proceeds from which go to support The Royal Parks Charity) completes an extensive multi-year renovation programme that has touched every guest room and suite, as well as The Promenade, Vesper Bar, Artists’ Bar, The Grill, and the charming Cake & Flowers boutique.
