On the banks of one of history’s great rivers, AmaWaterways is preparing to welcome its first guests aboard AmaNubia, the line’s newest and most intimate Nile vessel yet.
Debuting in November 2026, AmaNubia carries just 76 guests across 38 beautifully appointed staterooms, including 15 spacious suites, positioning it among the most exclusive ships sailing Egypt’s waters today.
A half-sister to the award-winning AmaLilia, AmaNubia shares many of its beloved venues and amenities, yet stands apart with its own distinctive layout and design language, one drawn directly from the country it sails through.
A Design Rooted in Nubian Heritage
Rather than imposing a generic luxury aesthetic, AmaNubia’s interiors take their cues from the carved stone of Egypt’s temples, the flowing waters of the Nile itself, and the rich artistic traditions of Nubian culture. The result is a ship that feels unmistakably of its place: contemporary in comfort, yet layered with regional texture, colour and craftsmanship throughout its public spaces and staterooms.
Onboard, guests can expect locally inspired cuisine featuring Middle Eastern flavours, a dedicated wellness area with spa treatments, a fitness centre, and inviting lounges designed for unwinding between shore excursions.

Sailing the Secrets of Egypt & the Nile
AmaNubia will sail AmaWaterways’ acclaimed Secrets of Egypt & the Nile itinerary, pairing a luxury river cruise with hotel stays in Cairo for an immersive journey through one of the world’s greatest civilisations. Highlights include the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, the Grand Egyptian Museum, Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple, the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Horus at Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan, alongside an exclusive private visit to Cairo’s historic Abdeen Palace.
Every sailing is accompanied by dedicated Egyptologists, whose lectures and guided exploration bring the destination’s ancient past vividly to life. Guests may further personalise their journey with optional excursions to the magnificent Abu Simbel temple and High Tea at the storied Old Cataract Hotel in Aswan, plus land extensions to Alexandria, Dubai and Jordan.
Onshore, AmaNubia guests will stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence, one of several prestigious hotel partnerships AmaWaterways has arranged across its Egypt fleet, ensuring the same calibre of service on land as at sea.
