Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Motorsport Lab are adding four driving-focused land programmes to European sailings in 2027, covering Barcelona, Goodwood and Italy’s Motor Valley.
Picture the Catalan coast road unspooling beneath the bonnet of a classic Porsche, with the sea on one side and Sitges up ahead. In summer 2027, some Regent Seven Seas Cruises passengers will make that drive before they ever board their ship.

The ultra-luxury line has expanded its partnership with Motorsport Lab, a specialist in automotive travel experiences. Together, they are launching four pre- and post-cruise programmes linked to European sailings in July and August 2027. Each one is set in a region with deep car culture, including Barcelona, England’s Goodwood Estate and Italy’s Motor Valley.
This isn’t the pair’s first outing. In 2025, Regent guests drove supercars in Barcelona, took exotic cars around the Monaco Grand Prix street circuit and toured Ferrari and Lamborghini country in Italy. Motorsport Lab curates and leads every programme in the 2027 line-up, and its founder and CEO, Ray Chang, says the aim is to let guests experience motorsport culture “from the inside,” and the itineraries back that up.
Two Ways to Drive Barcelona

Barcelona gets two versions of Motorsport Magic. The Exotic Supercar Edition runs 29 July to 1 August as a post-cruise programme after Moonlight Over the Mediterranean aboard Seven Seas Grandeur. Guests drive modern supercars from marques including Ferrari and Lamborghini along portions of the city’s historic racing circuit. The programme also includes a private aerial experience and a look inside a private collection of race cars, motorcycles, classics and exotics.
The Classic Porsche Edition is the more romantic of the two. It runs 26 to 29 July as a pre-cruise programme ahead of Eclipse the Ordinary, also aboard Seven Seas Grandeur. Guests take classic Porsches along Catalonia’s inland and coastal roads, visit the historic Terramar racetrack and spend time in seaside Sitges. Both editions finish with the Gothic Quarter, Catalan cuisine, regional wine and live flamenco.
Goodwood and Motor Valley

In England, the House of Motorsports is set on the Goodwood Estate. Guests drive hot laps on the historic Goodwood Motor Circuit and try motorsport off-roading. Golf with professional instruction, clay shooting, English tea and an art tour balance out the driving. It runs from 18 to 21 August as a pre-cruise programme and from 21 to 24 August as a post-cruise one, linked to two Seven Seas Voyager sailings, Land of Vikings and Gourmet & Glamour.

Italy’s Supercar Escape travels through Bologna, Modena and Maranello, where automotive museums and experiences introduce guests to the worlds of Ferrari, Lamborghini and Pagani. Guests also drive a Ferrari on Maranello’s roads and dine at Cavallino, Ferrari’s restaurant as reimagined by chef Massimo Bottura.

The dates – 4–7, 7–10 and 12–15 August – connect with the Eclipse the Ordinary and History & Heritage sailings aboard Seven Seas Prestige, and Culinary Wonders aboard Seven Seas Grandeur.
For a traveller who would rather experience a place through a steering wheel than a coach window, the ship may end up being the second-best ride of the trip.
