Emirates unveils a US$13.6 million next-generation lounge concept, debuting in Munich and Frankfurt, with Manchester, Mauritius and Istanbul following through October.
Many of us enjoy a good business class lounge. It’s a place in which we can collect ourselbves, transition, and prepare for our flight at our own pace. Seeking to meet the changing needs of first and business class travellers, Emirates has unveiled a next-generation signature lounge concept, which it will roll out across key cities worldwide this year.

Serving as the blueprint for Emirates lounges globally, the airline is investing more than AED50 million (US$13.6 million) into these next-generation spaces, which it has already debuted in Munich and Frankfurt. The Manchester lounge opens this month, followed by Mauritius in August and Istanbul in October.
A Design Inspired by Dubai’s Flagship Lounges

Drawing on the elegant palette of Emirates’ cabin interiors and the airline’s flagship Dubai lounges, the new spaces introduce more than 50 design enhancements, including distinct zones for relaxation, work, socialising and dining. Signature touches include discreetly integrated lighting, herringbone floors, accents of marble and gold, and the backlit Emirates Ghaf Tree motif, a nod to the UAE’s national tree.
Built for Work and Productivity

For travellers who need to stay connected, the lounges offer more private areas alongside communal spaces designed to double as social hubs and workspaces. Italian eco-leather seating, wireless charging and universal power access at every seat support productivity, while a dedicated artefact wall celebrates local artists and Emirati culture and is accentuated by signature Rolex clocks displaying global time zones.
Elevated Dining, Built Around Culinary Theatre

Dining areas have been reimagined around live cooking and culinary theatre, with menus spanning international cuisine and a dedicated “Made In” area spotlighting local specialities. Live cooking stations serve à la minute dishes, while hot and cold buffets are refreshed throughout the day and night.
In addition, a dedicated bread oven turns out handcrafted pizzas, flatbreads and manakeesh inspired by the city of Dubai, alongside Emirates’ curated selection of wines, beers, champagne and spirits, while a new barista bar concept adds a dedicated mixologist serving locally inspired cocktails, mocktails, speciality coffees and artisan teas.
Restorative Spaces for Relaxation

Guests are welcomed by Emirates’ signature scent of bergamot, citrus, jasmine and soft wood, with local plants and fresh floral displays throughout. Upgraded shower suites feature spa-inspired finishes and sustainable VOYA amenities, while dedicated male and female prayer rooms include ablution facilities and Qibla direction built into the design.
A Quiet Zone offers plush seating, soft lighting and sleep amenities including blankets, eye masks and earplugs for guests resting between flights, alongside additional spaces for private meetings and breastfeeding.
