Etihad Airways is gifting passengers a limited-edition Summer Essentials Kit on the first flights of eight new and returning seasonal routes across Europe and Africa this June.
As summer heats up, Etihad Airways is making sure its passengers arrive at their destinations not just relaxed, but genuinely beach-ready — and a thoughtfully curated limited-edition amenity kit is the reason why.
The Abu Dhabi-based carrier has launched a Summer Essentials Kit, gifted exclusively to guests aboard the inaugural flights of eight seasonal routes taking off this June. It’s a small but memorable touch that signals the airline’s intent to elevate every step of the guest journey, from boarding gate to shoreline.
What’s Inside the Etihad Summer Essentials Kit?

The kit arrives in a waterproof backpack — practical enough to earn its place in any beach bag long after landing. Inside, passengers will find a waterproof phone pouch for capturing moments without the anxiety of a splashed screen, one-shot electrolytes and Al Ain flavoured sparkling water to stay hydrated in the summer heat, a ginger brew drink, and a pack of water wipes for freshening up on the go.
Every item has been chosen with genuine utility in mind, blending wellbeing essentials with the spirit of warm-weather exploration.
Eight Routes, Eight First-Flight Surprises

The kit ties neatly into Etihad’s expanded summer network, which includes three brand-new destinations making their debut on the airline’s route map. Flights to Krakow kicked off today, followed by Palma de Mallorca tomorrow and Zanzibar (above) on 14 June — a trio of destinations that span Central European history, Mediterranean glamour, and East African coastal bliss.
Alongside these new routes, Etihad is resuming five popular seasonal services to Malaga, Mykonos, Santorini, Nice and Al Alamein — Egypt’s under-the-radar Mediterranean gem. Passengers on the very first flight of each route received a kit as part of the celebration.
Why It Matters for Travellers

Amenity kits are nothing new in aviation, but Etihad’s Summer Essentials Kit stands out for its relevance. Rather than a pouch of miniature toiletries that rarely leave the overhead locker, this is a kit designed for the destination itself — items you’d actually reach for once you’re off the plane and into the sun.
