Korean Air has unveiled its new flagship lounges at its hub at Seoul’s Incheon International.
We all love an innovative airport lounge. The very best lounges ensure that the journey of flying starts well before we step onboard and combine sublime interiors and curated dining with modern technology and that oh-so-important serenity that makes jet travel all the more bearable.

Part of the airline’s most ambitious lounge transformation project in recent years, one that took 42-months and a multi-million-dollar investment, Korean Air’s redesigned First Class and Prestige Class West Lounges, located at Incheon’s Terminal 2, more than double the national carrier’s lounge capacity at its home base.
Designed around the concept of a “home away from home,” the new lounges place passenger comfort, privacy, and refined Korean hospitality at the centre of the experience.
First Class Lounge: Quiet Luxury and Personal Privacy

Spanning 921 square metres — more than twice the size of the previous facility — the new First Class Lounge has been completely reimagined with privacy as its guiding principle. The space is divided into an open hall and 11 individual private suites, allowing First Class passengers to enjoy a truly secluded pre-flight experience.
The design draws inspiration from traditional Korean architecture, featuring elegant wood pillars and beams, soft ramie textures, and a calm, minimalist aesthetic. Upon arrival, guests are escorted directly to their own private suite, creating an immediate sense of calm and exclusivity.

Dining is highly personalised, with à la carte service featuring refined Korean recipes that highlight natural flavours and seasonal ingredients. The table setting is exceptional, combining Christofle cutlery, Bernardaud porcelain, Baccarat and Riedel glassware, alongside specially commissioned white porcelain by Lee Ki-jo and traditional brassware by Lee Hyung-geun.
The lounge also functions as a curated art gallery, displaying works by internationally acclaimed artist Anish Kapoor alongside pieces by leading Korean artists including Kim Young-joo, Lee Bae, Yoo Bong-sang, and Chae Sung-pil. The collection is unified by rich, traditional Korean tones of yellow and black.
A dedicated wellness zone offers premium massage chairs, while the shower suites feature private powder rooms and individual shower booths for ultimate convenience and comfort.
Prestige Class West Lounge: Spacious, Stylish and Highly Functional

At 2,615 square metres, with seating for over 420 guests, the new-look Prestige Class West Lounge is now the largest single lounge facility at Incheon International Airport, and boasts a design defined by a palette of gold, black, and ivory.
The culinary offering is generous and varied. An expansive buffet presents both Korean and Western dishes, supported by live cooking stations and a full-service bar. Highlights include handmade desserts and traditional Korean snacks such as yakgwa, prepared by chefs from the Grand Hyatt, along with seasonal fruits and soft-serve ice cream. The menu is refreshed quarterly to reflect the best seasonal ingredients.

The space is brought to life with dynamic digital art installations that shift subtly depending on the time of day and viewing angle, adding a modern, artistic touch.
For business travellers, a dedicated Tech Zone provides quiet workstations, while a wellness area with premium massage chairs offers a place to relax before a long flight.
How to Visit the Korean Air Lounges
With the completion of these two flagship lounges, Korean Air’s total lounge area at Incheon Terminal 2 has grown significantly — from 5,105 square metres to 12,270 square metres — and seating capacity has increased from 898 to 1,566 seats.
The airline now operates seven lounges at the terminal: First Class, Mileage Club, Prestige East Left, Prestige East Right, Prestige West, Prestige Garden East, and Prestige Garden West.
Passengers can easily manage their lounge visit using the Korean Air Lounge Reservation feature on the airline’s website and mobile app, allowing them to plan their time in advance and avoid any inconvenience.
